Our latest Kind Acts in Action involves a collection for donations of personal items to benefit the clients at the Robert J. Delonis Homeless Center at 312 W.Huron Street in Ann Arbor Michigan. This donation is being taken up by The Country Market at 7001 Dexter/Ann Arbor Road in Dexter Twp. Michigan. The manager of The Country Market, Veronica Hackworth has been a tremendous help to Be Kind to Humankind (BK2HK) with assisting us in helping to meet the needs of the homeless. Thank you Veronica!!! If you would like to make a contribution to our collection, you will find a notation at each register explaining which items are most needed for the center. BK2HK had set up a large blue bin with our logo on the front, and this is where you may drop off any items. Thank you for you support!
Much Kindness sent to you,
Lorraine

Once again Meijer on Jackson Road in Scio Township, Michigan, has come through for BK2HK and The Robert J. Delonis Homeless Center in Ann Arbor Michigan and granted the homeless center a whopping $350.00 gift certificate from their store. The generosity of Meijer is fantastic and this is their 3rd year that they have been so kind. Each year since 2006 BK2HK has asked for this donation to help the homeless and Meijer always comes through! Thank you again from both BK2HK and The Robert J. Delonis Center!

They say that the months of October, November and December are perfect months for star-gazers. If you look up into the darkest night sky on a clear night it seems as though the stars are so close to the earth that you can reach up and grab one. I have also heard a saying that the stars are the souls of our deceased loved ones gazing down upon us, never too far from our side.
I hope that your star shines brightly both here on earth through your daily acts of kindness and your stars luminescence lingers above the earth for eternity.

The Gary family is taking up a collection of used unwanted prescription eyeglasses for the men, women and children of Guatemala. The Gary family has gone to Guatemala for the past 2 summers bringing these much needed eyeglasses to the people there. If you have any used eyeglasses which you no longer wear, please mail them to the address below. An idea to pass along to you is to take a small box and hold onto it while asking any friends/family if they have eyeglasses for donation. Once you have filled the box, then please mail it to the address below.
The folks of Guatemala are in crucial need of our help. I understand that many of the children lack proper education and perform under average in academics because of their poor eyesight.
Mail Eyeglasses to:
Lorraine Jara (BK2HK)
P.O. Box 131397
Ann Arbor, Michigan 48113-1397
We will also be accepting drug store reading glasses and prescription used sunglasses.
The people of Guatemala need our help! Thank you!!!
