Boxes and bows, ribbons and snow
rush, rush, rush
I really must go!
Shopping till closed,
stores all aglow
Christmas is coming
I really must go!
Cook and prepare
love in the air
Christmas is coming so much fan-fare…
Cards have been mailed
I need wind in my sails
no time to think of that
I really must go!
Tis’ Christmas Eve
nothing but peace…
Morning light shines on our newly born babe.
All rushing stops
can hear a pin drop…
I really must stay with my babe and the flock.
Shepherds await
so is their fate
to visit our newly born babe on his day.
Christmas is here
joy in the air
Our babe in the manger is the reason we’re here.
Merry Christmas!

Another year come and gone. For me time went fast, for others slow. What ever this past year meant to you I hope it was good to you. If bad times knocked on your door, I hope that through faith, family and friends you were able to over come the bad times. Remember…if it weren’t for change there would be no butterflies.

The 2009 CNN Heroes Tribute Show honored ten people who make extraordinary efforts to help others. CNN received thousands of votes, among the nominees were men and women, war veterans, cancer survivors, and educators to name a few. One of the ten finalists was Jorge Munoz (pictured), a bus driver who feeds the hungry in New York. He founded An Angel In Queens, a non-profit organization that helps to provide food to those who are less fortunate. Jorge and his family work every single day, preparing meals and serving them to the locals.

The Robert J. DeLonis Homeless Shelter in Washtenaw County Michigan was awarded a $400.00 store gift card from MEIJER on Jackson Road in Scio township. This is the 4th year in a row that MEIJER has been so generous and gracious by helping out the shelter. The shelter will be using this money for bedding such as sheets, blankets, and pillows. They will also purchase warm hats, gloves and winter gear for their clients. Above is a photograph taken of me (Lorraine) presenting the shelters Executive Director, Ellen R. Schulmeister with the $400.00.
Be Kind to Humankind wishes to say THANK YOU once again MEIJER, Kim Valentine and Kathy Keillor of MEIJER whom without their assistance this would not be possible!!

They say home made chicken soup is like Penicillin, it is very good for you, and I could not agree more. With the cold and flu season upon us, I am sure that you know of someone who is sick. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you were to cook a home made meal for your sick friend or relative and bring it over to their home? If you know how to cook chicken soup, then go for it! If you are afraid of catching their cold or flu, slip it under their door. Only kidding, just let them know that you are coming and hand it to them outside. See? Easy…and rewarding. Happy cooking!

“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”

I line my 2 birds cages with the news of young lives lost, In wars that tend to confuse me, With the battles which we cross.
It breaks my heart to do this, Seems so callous and so cruel… To line my birds 2 cages with the latest toll of killed. I pray to God so constant yet sometimes I feel unheard…
But God keeps telling me in my heart I must have faith in what I’ve learned. I must believe in His power over death upon the cross, I must believe that all good things will come from those we’ve lost.
Try telling this to parents, who sit by burying their young, Try telling this to loved ones who lost fathers, mothers… sons
But God keeps telling me in my heart I must have faith in what I’ve learned, Believe in Him, believe in love, believe in hope and the faith of which we yearn.
PEACE
